This is how sweet my life is…

New Picture

Posted by Blaine Tucker on March 30, 2005

Just thought I’d put up a picture of my family. Things aren’t always this peaceful and quiet, but I think the picture captures how sweet my home life is. Hudson has new “jabber”. We have started being able to tell the difference between happy and angry words. It’s really pretty funny how he expresses emotion. It’s great to watch him grow up with the amazing bond he has with his mommy, how he analyzes everything and takes it all in, how he wants to be a part of what we are doing, and how the things that interest him the most are things that he wants to know more about. It’s tiring, but brings me such great joy.

Clone Wars

Yesterday, I bought a copy of the new Star Wars: Clone Wars DVD. It’s a compilation of all the short episodes which aired originally on the cartoon network last year. I hadn’t seen them yet. I had heard about them, and I’ll tell you, they are awesome.

Just so you know, I am secretly a super Star Wars nerd, so my enthusiasm for this may be a little different than yours. But, according to the special features on the DVD, the new season of the cartoon will transfer right into the movie. The stories are good, well written and entertaining. They come on at 6:00 PM every night with no comercials on the Cartoon Network every night, with all of the new ones (5) being shown on Friday. They tell the stories of the Jedi and their adventures during the Clone Wars, which won’t be covered by Episode III. Pretty cool stories overall. Check it out.

Here’s a link. Every reference has to have a link. http://www.starwars.com/clonewars/.

Just now, when I went to copy the link, I saw that you can watch the latest episodes right off the site. They’re only 12 minutes or so long, but still good. Looks like Volume 2 is only 5 episodes. Bummer cause they’re so good.

I’ll leave you to your watching.

I’m off to Mobile, AL for LTC.

When you pack your suitcase

Don’t put valuables in there. My mom just called me from the airport while watching them load her plane. She said she saw several bags fall off the ramp, one almost get left, and a whole trailer full show up 30 minutes early and sit outside in the rain.

I love America!

In other news, I have added my buddy Jonathan Reding’s Blog to my links section. Jonathan was one of the teens at Heritage Church of Christ where I did my first internship. He’s one of my spiritual heroes, and I’m amazed at how much I learn from his openness, sincerity, and striving to know God. Check out his Blog.

I’m out like Wake Forest. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

For all your mapping needs…

Try Google Maps. It’s relatively new, and is still in the beta phase, but it is awesome. It’s fast and easy to understand. It works like yahoo and mapquest are supposed to work. I haven’t used it a lot yet, but my first experiences have been good.
